True to: Word, duty, principle, word “His faithful follower I would be...leads me” = steadfast disciple. 2Tim 2:2 teach others 3 endure evil Mt 7:14

1Pt 5:8 Be sound-minded, vigilant/guard; cz your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour: 2Tim 2:25

Jn 6:66 From that time many of His disciples went back and followed/walked with Him no more. [Judas by transgression fell Ac 1;25]

1Jn 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not/belong to us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest/revealed, that none of them were of us. 2Jn 8 Watch out that you do not lose what wehave worked so hard to achieve. Q. How prevent from being deceived? How know walking/marching in HS Gal 5:25 acc to whole counsel, foster HS goals, unity, holiness (fruit)

2B. Dark Arts SOS:  Submit & Sanctify to God to Shore up Defenses , Overcome Dark Lies w/ Light of the Truth, Stand in the Strength of Jesus

1B Current Work of satan= blinds to the Truth; by lies tempts believers to independence, disunity, and missing the will and glory of God. blinds minds to the gospel of glory 2 Cor4:4; snatches/distracts Word Lk 8:12; persecution Rev 2:10; false religions Rev 2:13; He tempts believers to pride 1Chron 21:1-8; materialism Jn 2:15; Js 5:1-7; immorality 1Cor7:5; lie Ac 5:3; discouragement 1Pt 5:6-10; unforgiving 2Cor 2:10,11 etc; hinders ministry 1Thess 2:18; Rev 2:10; promotes false teaching 1Jn 4:1-4; anger, bitterness and division Eph 4:26,27; 2Cor 2:5-11 Lest Satan should outwit/get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices/schemes.

Stand in the Strength of Jesus as part of His Body“The Spirit of God within me, by virtue of my belief in the shed blood of Jesus, is greater than and overcomes anything in this world, and has made me God’s child, so Satan’s lies can not prevent me from obeying the Truth.” A lion picks off the stray or straggler. e. Stand in Unity Eph 6:11  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. (CONTEXT of Ephesians is the Truth that God has created diverse believers into a unified temple which He indwells. Satan seeks to destroy unity. Satan will seek to defile the temple to thwart the glory of God from residing there. The corporate armor consists of the Truth presented in Eph.) 12  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood…13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth...16 shield of faith... quench fiery darts of  wicked/evil one 17 sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18  praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints----

Q. Why do we do what we do? A. Cz we want to?  Why do we want what we want/do? Cz we believe  it's in our best (self)-interests.

Why do we think it's in our best interests? Cz our values, formed by our heart/culture/upbringing/(incorrectly perceived and processed) experiences, say it's better to do/not do. We've not trained ourself to deny self, but indulge and gratify demonic desires.

Heart mind connection, the unholy heart takes captive/programs the unsanctified mind to (subconsciously) pursue satan's will for your life/death. Difficult  cz of neural ruts. We can know what's right but don't do,=sin (not value, transform mind, reprogram robot; )

Q. Why is holiness important?A. To share in Divine nature.  Is it supposed to be hard or easy? Yoke and grace to bear it 2Cor 9:8.

1Pt 1:13 So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. 14 So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. 15 now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. 16 For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.” 17  remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you acc to what you do. So you must live in fear of Him during... “campers” NLT

Mt 11:28 Come to me, weary and carry heavy burdens, I will give you refresh. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, cz I am meek and humble at heart, you will find release for your souls. 30 For my yoke is benficial to bear, burden I give you is less opressive.

2Cor 9:8 God is able to make all grace/power abound to you, so always having all sufficiency in everything, abundance for every good deed 12:9

 Q. How to avoid Gehenna? A. We should be asking “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” = how to get rewarded/blessed?

Why get tossed into Gehenna (=unprofitable servant weeping and gnashing teeth)? Ultimately it's cz one doesn't do what God wants. So what does God want? He wants to bless/glorify faithful holy disciples/servants, cz that's His purpose in creation. So unless you whole-heartedly believe He blesses those who whole-heartedly/diligently seek Him weeping is in your definite default future.

Heb 11:6 w/o faith it is impossible to please Him...comes to God must believe: He is & Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him

Dt 4:29 from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul

Mt 24:51 hypocrite 25:30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

Note: Gehenna is not the lake of fire (where the unregenerate go for unbelief Rev 19), but always Day of Atonement Jews for unsanctification.
