Questions for Reflection/Discussion/Response:

  1. Why does the God of all grace not establish, strengthen, and settle (foundation) us before or during the sufferings (attacks by Satan v8-9)?
  2. Why do some think “calling” results in automatic blessing/glory when the Scriptures clearly teach otherwise?
  3. What is our normal response to things not going our way? How does knowing God and His plans for us help us be joyful in sufferings?
  4. How can you currently experience and share the four blessings Peter mentions? How do they relate to ministry and disciple-making?
  5. How worthy and “choice” are you to participate in the future festivities? Is there any chance you could miss out on them? What can you do?
