Questions for Reflection/Discussion/Response:

  1. How is it that folks can hear decades of preaching, but not be like Christ, no even able to teach publicly nor disciple privately?
  2. What is the result of just preaching, or just teaching, or just edification? Which is most common/lacking? Most important/effective?
  3. What are some of the comparative advantages of teaching vs edification? Is there a difference between formal and informal teaching?
  4. Why do some believers mature and others don't? What are the methods and benchmarks of maturity?
  5. What has helped you develop your relationship with God? How can you pass along that “blessing” to others?
