Hold fast the form of sound words, which you have heard of me, in faith and love in Christ Jesus.
Learn the Truth, Live the Truth, Love others with the Truth Eph 4:15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
I. Know what To Do{Hand: Hear, Read, Study, Memorize, Meditate}
B. Study & Shun 2Tim 2:14 Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. 1Tim 4:7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, but exercise/work out yourself rather for the advantage of (pros) godliness.
II. Do what You Know{Meditate = Thinking through Implications for Applications} View of: God, self, world, others; Different spheres: Family, Home (roomates), Work, Church, Gov’t; How affect: purpose, dreams, values, thoughts, feelings, actions?) A. Non-Application is sin 2Tim 3:14 But continue in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them; 15 from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly equipped for all good works. 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine 3 they will not endure sound doctrine…itching ears…heap up teachers
B. We will be held accountable Luke 12:41 Peter said, Lord, do You speak this parable only to us, or to all people? 42 Lord said, "Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? 43 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 44 Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has. 47” And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; & to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more
III. Share what You KnowJn 9:25 Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: though I was blind, now I see. A. Share Accurately
B. Share Selectively
C. Share Strategically: Endure & Hand-off to the..Faithful..Available/Involved..Teachable
