Js 1:14  (doubt...) Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire is embraqced, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren...21 Therefore lay aside all defilement and overflow of ill-will/evil, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

1. Observation (what do I see?)?  Interpretation (what does it mean?)? Application (how does it work?)
Josh 1:7            Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

2. What does this passage teach me about God and Man, and the rlshp between the two (end of each DTB post and TOYL Affirmations)
2Tim 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine (Path to take), for reproof, (Where off Path), for correction (How to get back on Path), for training in righteousness (How to stay on Path), 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. Pr 3:5-6 in all your ways acknowledge Him (as Lord) and He will smooth/direct your paths

3. God (what He's like-attributes, what He's promised, what I can expect of Him, what He expects of me, motivations He uses)?

4. Man/Myself (my nature, identity, worth,  purpose, destiny, ambition, natural inclinations, what I should/shouldn't think, value, feel, do/behavior, temptations to avoid, sins/behavior to confess, examples to follow, promises to believe; work, leisure, money/stewardship, time, faithfulness)

5. God: The One and Only Creator of the world and me has communicated Truth vital to my temporal and eternal well being.
Dt 32:3 For I proclaim the name of the LORD: Ascribe greatness to our God. 4 He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He. [Then after listing the blessings they took  for granted..]
35  Vengeance is Mine, and recompense;  36 "For the LORD will judge His people And have compassion on His servants  39 ' Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand. 46 and he said to them: "Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today 47 They are not just idle words for you--they are your life NIV.  and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess."

Jn 5:22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 23 that all should honor the Son  24  he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. 29 those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.
Jn 12:48 He who rejects Me, & does not receive My words, has that which judges him: the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day

6. Ourselves: 2Cor 5:10 Therefore we make it our aim/ambition, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 17 if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Phil 4:8 whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy --- meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

7. Others: 1Cor 1:10 10 I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord JC, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Eph 4:14 that we should no longer be children, tossed... every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head --- Christ ---16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.  5:21 submitting to one another in the fear of God

8. World, the Flesh, and the Devil: Js 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 6 "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 1Pt 1:22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit...
