*Mt 7:13 Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. 15 Beware of false prophets

Questions for Reflection/Discussion/Response: 1. If we're already perfect and sanctified, why all the commands to be holy? Why the warning passages for not progressing to “perfection”? 2. What happens if you don't totally fall away or “apostatize,” but just kinda drift a bit, or not mature quickly? Would God be pleased? 3. How do you actually provoke or incite someone to love (desire what's in another's best interest) and good deeds? Why reference to Day? 4. How many of the “Exhortations/Correctives” are habits in your life? What steps could you take to incorporate them into your life? 5. Have you personally heard and heeded they warning passages? What correspoinding action has resulted in your life? Are you perfect? |
