Jude 25a Godly Wisdom (Part 1) Atom of the Universe

To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.

I. Only God is Wise (only He has ability to choose best ends and means) vs wisdom of this world (ie  demonic)

Lordship deniers think they know better or are wiser than God and thus don't submit to Him, His Word, nor His will

Wisdom is the ability/skill to choose the right objectives and the right means of obtaining them. Pr 11:2 with humility comes wisdom

Ex 28:3 you shall speak to all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make...

A. Wisdom for this life and the next is revealed from Above; so we have to ask for it, seek it, dig for it and avoid everything else

Js 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you?  show it by good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom NIV

Js 3:12 tree/fountain 17 wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, gentle/equitable, easily entreated, full of hesed, good fruits..righteousness peace

Js 3:14 bitter zeal, self seeking in your hearts, cx the truth. 15 not from above, earthly, sensual, demonic 16 envy-strife confusion every evil work

1Cor 1:20 Where is the wise/scribe/debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For in the wisdom of God, the world thru wisdom did not know God, it pleased God thru the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe

1Cor 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their own craftiness”

1Cor 2:7 we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory 9...what God has prepared

B. God gives wisdom thru Christ, to those who are rightly related to Him (in Christ -by faith) and convinced His is to be feared/obeyed

Mt 12:42 Jesus' wisdom greater than Solomon's    Col 2:3 in Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Col 2:8 Beware...spoil/capture you thru philosophy/empty deceit, acc to tradition of men/principles world, and not acc to Christ.

Eph 1:17 God of our Lord Jesus Christ...may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in/by the knowledge of Him...that you may know..

1Cor 1:30 of God you're in Christ Jesus, who of God was revealed to us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption

Js 1:5 double minded=split allegiance; won't get anything if not committed to following God''s will (by faith); no choosing world vs Gods

C. God's Wisdom is the atomic building block of our worlds (Pr 8; Rm 11) thus ignoring it or acting contrary to it is folly and stupid shame

Pr 2:19 LORD by wisdom founded earth; by understanding established heavens; 20 By His knowledge depths up & clouds drop down 

Pr 24:3 Thru wisdom a house is built, by understanding it's established 4 By knowledge rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches

Pr 3:11 do not despise the chastening of the LORD, nor detest His correction; 12 For whom the LORD loves He corrects, just as a father the son in whom he delights. 13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding; 14 her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and her gain better than fine gold. 15 She is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. 16 Length of days is in her right hand, Ii her left hand riches and honor. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who retain her.

Pr 8:22 The LORD possessed me at the beginning of His way, before His works of old. 23 I have been established from everlasting, from the beginning, before there was ever an earth. 24 When there were no depths...no fountains abounding with water. 25 Before the mountains were settled, I was brought forth; 26 While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields, or the primal dust of the world. 27 When He prepared the heavens, I was there, when He drew a circle on the face of the deep, 28 When He established the clouds above, when He strengthened the fountains of the deep, 29 When He assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters would not transgress His command, when He marked out the foundations of the earth, 30 Then I was beside Him  as a master craftsman; and I was daily delight, rejoicing always before Him, 31 Rejoicing in His inhabited world, and my delights were with the sons of men. 

32 Therefore, listen to me, my children, for blessed are those who keep my ways 33 Hear instruction and be wise, and do not disdain it. 34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. 35 For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the LORD;  36 But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; all those who hate me love death

Eph 3:10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities...heavenlies

III. Wisdom the principal means of safety, happiness, prosperity/success and satisfaction (purpose), and doing the will of God (Eph 5)

God wants us to get/have/use wisdom for this life and the next. It enables us to look at life from God's perspective, to enter into His thots

Pr 3:13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom and the man who gets understanding.   Pr 19:8 He who gets wisdom loves himself.
