I. Truth best explains all the facts, found at the convergence of: (authenticated) Revelation; Reason (logic consistency); Reality (works).
Appeal: Peace, Family, Morality (no: drinking/smoking/gambling); Anti-communist; “Love,” belonging, conformity, purpose, “authority” "Begin with a well-seasoned Taoist philosophy, add Christian words and phrases and some Bible verses, and stir briskly until they blend. Now add a bit of spiritism, a pinch of numerology, a dab of physics, and a dash of anti-communism; mix it altogether, using a Korean Messiah, and you have the recipe for one of the newest religious movements sweeping America." Bjornstad, Moon Is Not the Son
II. Unbiblical re: Person and work of Christ; Sin & Salvation; Purpose; No peace or Kingdom w/o King; beat members “The Bible is not truth itself, but a textbook that teaches truth. Today's religions have failed to lead man out of darkness, so there must be a new light. The Bible was a textbook to those of 2,000 years ago who had a low spiritual and intellectual standard. “ Cross vs Crown - Moon is “Messiah, Lord of the Second Advent, but also Emperor of the Universe (this world and the spirit world). Rev 22:12 "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last." 14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. Moon denies the deity of Christ. Jesus was to marry the second Eve to produce sinless children and become true parents. It was never God's purpose for Jesus to die. Christ was crucified by the will of men, not of his or his Father's will. Jesus failed his mission to become King and father perfect children. Jesus will not return to earth. Jesus doesn't provide salvation. Jesus rose a spirit man thus redeeming man spiritually, but man still needs a physical salvation, which requires another Messiah. “Of course, Jesus stands in the position of a son to the Lord of the Second Advent, and calls him 'Father' “ tparents.org/MSTRSP-1
Salvation: Marriage Blessing (and sex by “perfected” people yields children free of original sin Before Adam and Eve married to form perfect children, Eve committed fornication with Satan, this produced the spiritual fall. Hoping to undo her action, Eve persuaded Adam to live with her as husband and wife. This was the physical fall since neither had attained perfection. Thus human history deviated from God's will of perfection first, marrying and producing perfect children. The individual must be restored, perfected, marry and produce children of a perfect nature. Blessing and 7 year course for “perfection.” unification.net/bif/bif-5-1
III. Demonic: Pride; Possession "If you tell a lie to make a person better it is not sin...even God tells lies very often." (Moon in Master Speaks, 3-16-72 pg.11) "Then in one sense, Father, Heavenly Father will say, "Reverend Moon is far better than me, the Heavenly Father."
Deceptive: “...we must quote the Bible and use it to explain the Divine Principle. After we receive the inheritance of the Christian church, we will be free to teach without the Bible” tparents.org/MSTRSP-7.htm Hypocritical: Four imprisonments; Four wives, 15+ children; Four disciples: few days temple; 3 months thirty churches Cultic isolation, deprivation, dependence; slavish conformity; indoctrination See: Truthbase.net Biblical Church, Culture Club, or Cult 1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.
