Jude 1:2 Getting More Mercy, Peace, and Love

Jude 1:2 (To those who are sanctified, called to be holy and kept by JC)  Mercy to you, and peace; and love be multiplied (singular). 

Jude 1:20...21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy/hesed of our Lord Jesus Christ eis eternal life 2Pt 3:14 diligent

I. (Grace) Mercy, Peace, and Love are covenantal blessings, with past, present, and future aspects, all dependent upon our faithfulness. 

Eph 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us...(brought into covenantal promised blessings) 

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness...but acc to his mercy He saved u(by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the HS

Gal 6:16  And as many as walk acc to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy/cov't loyalty-blessings and upon the Israel of God.

Mt 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.   Mt 20:30...two blind men..."Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!"

Mt 9:13 learn what this means: 'I desire mercy/hesed (Hos 6:6) and not sacrifice.' not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance

Mt 23:23 Woe to you, hypocrites! For you pay tithe, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy/hesed and faith. 

Lk 1:50 His mercy is on those who fear Him..51...scattered the proud...52 pulled down the mighty from their thrones...53 rich sent away empty

Lk 1:54 He has helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy/hesed 55 As He spoke to our fathers, Abraham and his seed forever  72  To perform the mercy/hesed - loyal love  promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

Heb 4:16 come boldly (moral confidence) to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Js 2:13  For he shall have judgment without mercy, that has showed no mercy; and mercy triumphs over judgment.

1Pt 1:3  Blessed be the God...acc to his abundant mercy...born again to a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

2Tim 1:16 Lord give mercy/hesed to Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me 18 Lord grant...find mercy of the Lord in that day... 

2Jn 1:3  Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in/by truth and love.

II. Peace with God is a past blessing; present peace, and future peace are blessings dependent upon us faithfully pursuing obedience.

Mt 10:13  And if the house be worthy, let your peace  come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

2Pt 1:2  Grace and peace  be multiplied unto you thru the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 5 giving all diligence, add to your faith...8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus

Rm 1:7 To all  in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Rm 2:10  But glory, honor, and peace, to every one that works good, to the Jews...3:17  And the way of peace have they not known:

Rm 8:6  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace 

Rm 14:19  Let us therefore chase after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. Heb 10:24  

Lk 1:79  To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace

Lk 2:14  Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace toward those with whom He is pleased/on whom His favor rests.

Num 25:11 Phinehas has turned My wrath away for he was zealous for My sake among them, so that I did not consume the Israelites in My zeal 12 I grant him My covenant of peace. 13 covenant of permanent priesthood ...zealous for his God and made atonement for the Israelites 

Mal 2:3 If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to honor My name, I will curse/diminish your blessings. Yes, I have already begun to curse them, because you are not taking it to heart. 3 I will spread dung on your faces...you will be carried off with it. 5 My covenant with Levi was one of life and peace, and I gave them to him; that he might fear me and he feared Me, and trembled before My name. 6 True instruction was in his mouth, and nothing false was found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace/harmony and uprightness, and he turned many from iniquity.7 For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge, and people should seek instruction from his mouth, because he is the messenger of the LORD of Hosts. 8 But you have departed from the way, and your instruction has caused many to stumble. You have violated the covenant of Levi, 9 So I in turn have made you despised and humiliated before all the people, because you have not kept My ways, but have shown partiality in matters of the law

Jn 16:33  These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation, but,,,

Php 4:7 and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guard your hearts and minds thru Christ Jesus. 9 Those things, which you have learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Isa 25:3 perfect peace

2Tim 2:22 Flee youthful lusts: but chase righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

1Pt 3:9 called...to inherit a blessing 11...Let him refrain from/eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. (Ps 34)

III. Love increases as it is shared/used in a reciprocal rlshp (with God Jn 15 abide and others Heb 10:24; Eph 4:15)

2Cor 13:11 Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

1Thess 3:12 And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you,

1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.  12 No on seen....If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

1. Why would anyone need more or even abounding (grace), mercy, peace, and love? How does one go about getting it/them? 

2. Why are both teachers and believers often belligerently ignorant about the different time aspects of key words of the Christian life? 

3. How do/will you build yourself up in your most holy faith Jude 1:20 mercy, peace, love, and keep yourself in the love of God?
