Rev 18:4 another voice: Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and receive not of her plagues
I. How did OT believers escape wrath (Lk 3), become forgiven (Lev) and righteous (Job), exercise faith (Heb 11), and have a blessable rlshp with God (Dt & David, Rm 11)? If you can't answer these, you can't understand the NT, nor be blessable (Mt 5-7)
II. John warns sinning, unfruitful, Day of Atonement. “this worldly-churchy” believers to repent or face the coming wrath
Mt 3:7 Lk 3:4 Prepare the way of LORD; make His paths straight. 7 Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 bear fruits worthy of repentance, don't say 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. 9 every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire (Jn 15) 10 What shall we do then? (stop living as if this world is all there is-live for promised judgment & reward) 16 He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 17 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire
Mt 12:33 make tree good ...fruit 34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of...overflow of heart mouth speaks
Mt 23:27 whitewashed 33 Serpents, offspring of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell/Gehenna? 34 I send you prophets... 1Pt4:17
Jn 3:36 believes eis Son has everlasting life: that DISOBEYS/REBELS! Rm 11 the Son shall not see life; but wrath of God abides on him

B. Tax collect only what is due (no injustice) - God of Justice Mt 23:23; 1Tim 6:6-12 Dt 25:16 act unrighteously=abomination to the LORD
C. Content with wages; no extortion- Sovereign God of Grace/Sufficiency 1Cor 6:10 no inherit; 2Cor 12:9-10; Phil 4:11-13
III. Like in OT (1Cor 10 -God not pleased...die in desert) Paul warns born-again believers of wrath & loss of blessing/glory for their unfaithfulness (1Cor 3; 9; 2Cor 4-7; Col 3; Eph 5 etc) as does Hebrews (5x), Peter, John, and Jesus (Mt 7; 23-23; Lk 12; Rev 2-3; 22)
1Jn 3:2 now we are children of God...we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 everyone who holds this hope in Him purifies 1Pt 1:22 himself, just as He is pure. 4 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous 8 who sins is of the devil...manifested that He might destroy/dissolve/loose the works devil
A. Believers who know God and the Truth, but don't glorify nor thank Him disqualify themselves from future blessing/glory
Rm 1:7 beloved, called saints, 8 faith 11 impart grace to establish 12 mutual faith encouragement 15 ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. 16 not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God eis salvation to every one that believes 17 therein is the righteousness of God revealed ek faith eis faith:...the just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold/suppress-possess the Truth in unrighteousness; 19 known re God is manifest in them; for God has shown it to them. 20 clearly seen, understood...His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 they knew 10:19 God, glorified Him not... nor thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools 23 exchanged the glory of God for images. 28 not like/approve* to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate* mind, to do ought not 29 become filled with all unrighteousness 30 haters of God...proud...disobedient Jn 3:36; Ti 1:16 profess/deny; 3:3; 2Tim 3:2 31 covenant-breakers 32 knowing the judgment of God...commit such things are worthy of death, do the same, consent/approve them that do them

Titus 1:16 profess they know God; but in works they deny Him, abominable, disobedient, to every good work reprobate*
Php 1:9 love abound by epi-K/insight 10 may test and prove #1384 best; may be pure & blameless Day of Christ 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness thru Jesus Christ Rm 14:18 serve Christ is acceptable to God, and approved #1384 of men.
2Tim 2:15 Study/exert show self approved# Js 1:12 to God, a workman not ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Js 1:12 Blessed...endures temptation: when tried#, he shall receive the crown of life, promised to them that love him.
Rm 12:2 not conformed to world: be transformed by renewing your mind, may prove# good/acceptable/perfect will of God
B. Depending on what they seek, believers can be: righteous and get glory, or unrighteous and get wrath (not unforgiven)
Rm 2:3 think you will escape judgment? 4 goodness of God leads to repentance 5 stubborn unrepentant heart treasures up cx yourself wrath for The Day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render/pay to every man acc to his deeds: 7 those who persist in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality ®Eternal Life (Dominion of THE AGE):
8 contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath: 9 ® Tribulation and anguish... does evil 10 Glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good 11 there is no respect of persons with God.
13 For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified
Rm 5:9 being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath thru Him 6:13 Neither yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin: but yield yourselves to God, as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God 12:19 avenge not...give place to wrath: for vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says Lord
IV. Unrighteous believers who live for their desires (rather than God's desire/will) don't serve Christ, nor get inheritance
